Work and Development Order (WDO)
Psychology NSW clients have paid off over $26,000+ worth of fines
Unfortunately Psychology NSW is not currently accepting new WDO applications at this time.
We hope to offer more people sponsorship soon.

If you’re experiencing circumstances making it difficult for you to pay your fine, you may be eligible to apply for a Work Development Order (WDO).
Work and Development Orders (WDOs) have helped many people clear their debt and make a fresh start.
More than 87,000 people have participated in the WDO program in the last five years, clearing over $200 million of debt.
You are eligible if you meet one or more of the following criteria:
- experiencing serious financial hardship
- experiencing a mental health condition
- have an intellectual or cognitive disability
- experiencing homelessness
- experiencing an alcohol or substance use disorder
- under the age of 18
Costs?
It’s free for you if you have a current GP referral with a Mental Health Treatment Plan. By engaging in therapy not only will you be working on the underlying issues that caused the bad behaviour but it will reward you by wiping up to $1,000 per month.
Telehealth?
Absolutely! We can work with you from anywhere via phone and Telehealth appointments.
How to get started?
Firstly you need to be committed to making positive changes in your behaviour.
Secondly, you will need to see your GP and ask for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). Places like Holla Health, MedMate and Instant scripts can organise a MTHP via telehealth.
Email your referral to hello@psychologynsw.com.au – In the email include that you’re wanting to start a WDO.
Book 6 x sessions in advance (Fortnightly is recommended).
On the day of your first appointment you will need to bring along your ID, an income statement and a copy of your fines.
That’s it!
